Mini Mo' Feb '14 - Skelly and Skully

I'm having another little catch up on my Mini Mo' blogging, my first collection for February has some cool skull murrini and the other complimenting glasswork is a mix of black and ivory with some super red/coral shards.

This first set uses the ivory canes and some chips from the ends of the same canes to create tiny starburst murrini.

This next bead is a cheeky tiny goddess sporting a skull tattoo on her bottom.

Last to show you is this striking set of tab beads created using the ivory canes from my Skelly Mini Mo'.

My second collection has sweet sugary girly skull murrini and a fab mix of purple and pinks throughout the coordinating glasswork.

This cheeky little lady has a Scully tattoo. I have lots of ideas on how to use these two fun skull murrini chips so more to come on these at some point.

Below is a large coin shaped focal created using canes from the Scully collection. The canes have been wrapped around a core of Effetre 006 and then encased before the bead was pressed.

Mini Mo' Club Nov '13 Happy Faces and Love is

My first happy little collection of glassy embellishments for November is this bright collection of happy faces murrini with lime and sunny yellow canes and murrini. I've used Effetre Nile Green, CiM Daffodil and Effetre transparent Light Teal.

I thought it would be lovely to do something a little different with the striped canes and so I have made this cheeky little mud crab ocean focal using the daffodil cane.

Two sweet little happy heart beads created with Happy Faces murrini, the left is over Effetre transparent Uranium Yellow and the Right is over Effetre transparent light green. I've etched them both for a lovely matt finish.

Little Ollie was created using the Nile Green/Light Aqua cane go give him lots of lovely detail.

My second glassy collection for November is called Love is. I have used CiM Indigo, CiM Maraschino, Effetre Carrot Red, CiM Peace, Effetre baby Pink 256 and also chosen Red Copper Green shards to finish the collection.

First up a beautiful green focal with lovely flowers created using the canes in this collection over red copper green shards.

Lucky lobster created with super stripy Maraschino canes from the Love Is Mini Mo'

And a trio of sweet hearts with sweet love heart murrini.

Mini Mo' Oct 13 Pretty Daisy and Delft Daisy

My first collection for October is called Pretty Daisy. I've used Effetre Lavender 247, Effetre Purple 272, Recichenbach dense white and a medley of pink and purple for the twistie canes.

The fab shards in this selection are a lovely pale lilac colour. I've used the pretty daisy murrini and shards to create a beautiful focal.

This dark amethyst focal features an iris type flower that has been created with swipes of Pretty Daisy twistie cane.

I made this little round focal for the Craft Pimp Forum X factor bead sweep (which I sadly goteveicted from in week 4). Ive encased the daisy murrini under one half of the bead and decorated the other side with dots and stringer.

This sweet collection of blues is called Delft Daisy. I've used CiM Glacier, Reichenbach Dense White, Effetre Light Blue 224, Effetre Periwinkle and a medley of blue and white in the twiste cane.

This pretty focal uses sherbet dib dab shards from September's harvest collection and cane form this months pack to create delicate raised flower decoration.

For my second focal I have used Deft Daisy shards over a base of dark aqua and swiped on pretty flowers with some striped leaky pen cane (available made to order in my lampy supplies shop) that happened to be on my desk at the time.

Last up i have a third aqua focal to share, this one is covered with lovely blue and white daisy murrini from the Delft collection.

Mini Mo' February 13 - Rainbows and Ladybugs

Both of my glasswork collections this month are inspired by a longing for spring. I have made delicate petal canes in vibrant colours for my Rainbow colourway. This collection uses Lauscha Yellow Transparent SNT 142, CiM Maraschino, Effetre Grasshopper Green. I've also teamed up some totally sweet rainbow murrini with pretty limited edition Blue patchwork shards.

I made this earthy spring focal with CiM Canyon de Chelly laced with fine silver leaf and I've swiped on petals and leaves with Grasshopper vine cane and Cheery Yellow petal cane. The flower puffs are made with dots of petal cane.

This classy focal uses Cherry Red petal cane over a hand shaped pressed bi-cone made with CiM Gooseberry glass.

This last set is the largest single string of beads that I have ever made. The core of many of these beads is CiM Slytherin, five have been decorated with petal canes and encased with 006 clear.

My second collection for Feb includes delicate canes made with Effetre Rubino Ora, Effetre Blue Purple and CiM Sherwood. I've used Reichenbach Bright Red to make the adorable profile ladybug murrini and also made a limited edition batch striated green patchwork shards.

First up I want to show you a huge chunky necklace focal with a Ladybug murrini inside under deep encasing layer of clear glass. The ladybug is surrounded by CiM Marachino petals over a core of Effetre Grass Green.

Next up is a pretty floral focal made with a thick core of CiM Slytherin. I've decorated that with Sherwood vine cane with a later of pretty flowers encased in clear and a touch of 13 carat gold leaf for good measure.

My final set of beads for this Mini Mo' gallery is called Lily Blue. I have used Blue Purple petal cane to swipe on these lovely sculptural flowers and finished with Sherwood leaves.

Aquarium murrini gallery.....

Morning, I have enough new ocean themed/aquarium themed murrini now to merit a cheeky little post about them, strangely none of them are fish!

To the left is a large focal necklace made with Mandy Mudcrab murrini and Red Inside-Out Barnacle murrini.

Next up some bumpy tide pool bracelet beads featuring Terry Turtle murrini with his cute patterned shell and also with Blue Inside-Out Barnacle murrini.

This little chap is my absolute favourite, Harry the Hermit Crab. Looks can be deceiving, he is likely the most complex murrini I have made to date, he is certainly made from the largest successfully pulled gather.

Here is sweet Sammy Seahorse - it took three tries and a full days torching to work out how to get him looking just right.

This set features some rather cool conch shells, if you put one to you ear and maybe, just maybe  you could hear the sounds of the Ocean.....

 Last but not least is this delicate little two tone Scallop shell murrini. All of these and more are available in my Lampy supplies shop (link below). There are definitely going to be more ocean themed murrini along soon, they are so much fun to make!

Mini Mo' January 2013 - Turtle Bay and Mandy Mudcrab

The first collection I have put together for the new year is called Turtle Bay. I have used Effetre pastel Dark Sky Blue, Light Ivory, Aqua Transparent 034, Petrol Green 318, Vetrofond Light Grass Green 216, CiM Split Pea and CiM Dirty Martini. There are two different murrini turtles and Inside-out Blue Barnacle murrini. The shards have been laced with silver glitter Pixie Dust.

The first bead I have to show is this multi-layered petal bead with wraps of Turtle Bay twistie under encasement.

This chunky necklace has Turtle and Blue Barnacle murrini under deep encasement.

last up for Turtle Bay is this pretty trio of Bracelet Charm beads in  Effetre light turquoise transparent with two kinds of Turtle murrini and Inside-out Blue Barnacle murrini.

The second collecting is based around a cheeky red Mudcrab murrini called Mandy. I've used Effetre Carrot Red 424, Yellow Ocher 460 and Light Ivory with Mandy Mudcrab murrini and Inside-out Red Barnacle murrini. The shards have been laced with fine silver.

Here is a trio of Bracelet Charm beads in gorgeous Efftre Dark Teal with Mandy Mudcrab murrini and Red inside-out Barnacle murrini,

This chunky necklace shows what Mandy and Red Barnacle murrini look like under deep encasement.

On the right here is a large layered encased focal using the twistie from the Many Mini Mo' collection.

Christmas Murrini Gallery...........

Good morning, a little post to show your some of the darling Christmas themed murrini that I have up for sale on www.fritnchips.etsy.com right now. I'm finding it hard to wrap my head around the idea that it will be December already in just a few days. This year has flown by like no other!

First up, I made this festive necklace using holly and berry murrini over pure silver foil with a heavy encasement of clear to magnify the detail.

Here is what the a single chip look like before it has been used in a bead -  you get 15 (plus a couple of spares) in every festive baggie of these lovely chips. I also have cute holly without berries too made with lush deep green glass.

This detailed Appletini Christmas bead set features a few of my gift wrapped present murrini - each design can be bought individually in sets of 18 (plus a couple of spares) or as part of a mixed pack.

 I also have a limited number of holiday murrini collections too, just  30+ detailed chips with a minimum of 4 pcs in each of my festive designs. 

The  last murrini I would like to show today are these cute button designs. Great for little seasonal snow folk  but fab to have in all year round to add a touch of whimsy and kitsch to your bead designs and critter folk.
